- A kit is available for testing copper cables that carry voice, data, or video signals. The kit includes test ports for RJ11, RJ45, and coax cables, eliminating the need for adapters. It guarantees high-quality installations and speeds up the process of fixing cable issues in active network environments.
- The kit comes with a MicroScanner2 cable verifier, which has a detachable wire map adapter. It also includes an IntelliTone 200 Digital Probe, patch cords, remote IDs, alligator clips, a user guide, (2) AA and (1) 9V batteries, an accessory pouch, a duffel bag, and a 1-year warranty.
- The cable verifier has an oversized backlit LCD screen that displays clear results in both bright and dark conditions. It shows 4 test modes simultaneously: graphical wire map, pair lengths, distance to fault with TDR, cable ID, and far end device. It can detect 10/100/1000 Ethernet, POTS, and PoE.
- The cable tests provided by the kit include length measurements (up to 460 meters or 1500 feet with a resolution of 0.3 meters or 1 foot) and wire map tests according to TIA 568A/B standards. It also includes remote ID locators. It has a coax F connector that can work with 75 ohm, 50 ohm, and 93 ohm cables. Additionally, it can detect the presence of compatible 802.3af PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices to eliminate power-related issues.
- The housing of the kit is rugged and has an integrated rubber easy grip holster and magnetic strap. It can locate almost any cable or wire pair using IntelliTone digital and analog toning.
